Perched above South Beach with sweeping views of the coastal bay, Essence offers a modern-day dining experience in the heart of Tenby, nestled within the historic town walls. Expect a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, where locally sourced, seasonal ingredients take centre stage in contemporary classics. With light bites and vibrant main dishes, enjoy an ever-evolving menu alongside local ales, craft beers, and handcrafted cocktails — best savoured on the clifftop balcony overlooking the sea.

Breakfast | £18.95 (£15.95 if pre-booked at least day prior)

We serve a full Welsh Breakfast every morning. Come down to a morning warm welcome to be seated and orders taken for breakfast cooked to perfection. Take a look at our breakfast menu to cater for alternative options such as vegan breakfast or eggs benedict or delicious smoked salmon and scrambled egg. We also have a continental buffet for lighter options to enjoy as part of your morning experience to set you ready for the day in and around Tenby.

Sunday Roast | Sundays 12pm – 9pm

Small Plates | Daily 12pm-9:30pm

The small plates menu offers a delightful selection of shareable dishes, perfect for casual dining with a Welsh twist. Priced at £7.50 each or 3 for £20, the menu features options like Welsh lamb croquettes with mint yoghurt, crab cakes with béarnaise sauce, and vegetarian choices such as whipped goat’s cheese with root vegetable crisps and grilled Rarebit on garlic ciabatta. Ideal for enjoying on the terrace overlooking South Beach, this menu caters to both locals and visitors seeking a relaxed yet flavourful dining experience.

Lunch and Evening meals | Daily (except Sundays) 12pm-5pm / 5pm-9:30pm

The newly unveiled menu at Essence offers a refined yet approachable dining experience that celebrates the best of Welsh coastal cuisine. Set against the backdrop of South Beach, the menu showcases locally sourced ingredients and inventive culinary techniques.
